Grapeview's New Learning Commons!
For any of you that have been into the school lately, you may have noticed that our library is undergoing some changes!
Our library is becoming a Learning Commons!
What is that, you may ask?
It is:
- a bright and welcoming space where students can gather and work, learn and grow
- a flexible, changing learning environment designed to meet student needs
- a place where there is furniture that encourages co-operation and participation
- a learning environment where wireless computers and books are side by side
- a cozy, motivating space where students can't wait to relax and read or listen to their new book
- a place that is the "hub" or centre of the school and community
Many schools, universities and colleges in our area have recently built beautiful Learning Commons and now it is our turn!
We look forward to transforming our space into one that students, teachers and families love to visit to read, learn and meet with each other!
How Can You Help?????

If you would like to be a part of our exciting project by either donating funds as a family or approaching a corporation for funds, it would be greatly appreciated. The Learning Commons will be a facility for students as well as the community to use and enjoy for many years to come! An opportunity to assist exists at many levels of support. Every donation will be recognized as outlined below. Any donation cheques should be made out to the DSBN, noting the Grapeview Learning Commons. A tax receipt will be issued.
